Online School Payments

Client:
Broward County Public Schools

Problem:
Students were forced to drive to their local school campus to register during specific periods for their upcoming semester’s classes. These registration periods were not always practical for students’ schedules and many times involved long lines at the school.

Solution:
Implemented Online School Registration (OSR) solution to allow students to register online for courses and make their payments via credit card online.

Results:
Students no longer need to drive to the local school campus and stand in line to register. Now they can register anytime of the day from any computer with internet access and pay with their credit or bank card. This has greatly reduced the lines at the school sites which has reduced the need for registration staff during these periods. These schools even went as far as to offer kiosks with access to the OSR website to allow students to bypass the line if they did not have internet access from their home or was unaware of the service.

OSR – The Online School Registration product allows schools to offer courses to current or prospective students online. The system integrates with back office course management, student information, and financial systems. OSR gives students access to course information online as well as register and pay any required fees online by credit card. Because the OSR tracks student registration and integrates with the financial system, a Point of Sale component is available to allow students register in person and pay fees either by cash, check, or credit card
